THE NATIONAL COUNCIL FOR SOCIAL STUDIES CONFERENCE HELD IN BOSTON

The National Council for Social Studies conference held in Boston MA is my first chance to test the market. “Children of the Civil Rights” documentary film meets 9th and 11th grade national curriculum requirements so I want to connect with teachers across the country. The film is not yet complete but I travel with Ayanna Najuma, one of the original sit-inners from Oklahoma City featured in the new “Children of the Civil Rights” film to test the waters.

Let me introduce myself. My name is Julia Clifford and I am film director for “Children of the Civil Rights” documentary film. I am a painter by trade. I love art. I also love history. So, after setting up the exhibitors booth, I journey over to the Fine Art Museum, then join a group and tour the Museum of African American History before Ayanna arrives, and the next day’s exhibitor festivities begin.
